None can say what of this place shall be remembered by those who return whence they came. However little time I have left to contemplate such memories, still it makes heavy my heart to think I might forget those who have grown dear to me here. Yet far worse would be to forget my beloved Patroclus - and in defying my Fate I would do just that.

Let me promise this unto you - you who are as a daughter to me, for if the gods were to grant me a daughter I would wish for her to match you in beauty, compassion, and diligence. Tomorrow when I depart, in that moment shall I fill my mind with thoughts of you, and of all those I have loved best among this crew. Then you shall stay with me through my journey to Dardanus' land, cargo so secure that no storm can scatter it.
