APPEARANCE AND BODY PERCEPTION① Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?Sieglinde is rather small for her age, likely only a little over four feet tall. She is slim, with almost zero muscle mass, particularly on her legs, which are somewhat atrophied.
② How old is she?Eleven years old- practically an adult, if you ask her.
③ Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well, or does she slouch?When she's acting as the Green Witch and is in command of the situation, Sieglinde carries herself like the most noble of women, back straight and body language commanding. In times of stress or upset, though, she tends to shrink in on herself.
④ How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?Sieglinde is completely out of shape, and her legs are somewhat atrophied thanks to being carried around most of her life. In a practice comparable to Chinese foot binding her feet were broken and have been bound tighter and tighter for years, resulting in misshapen feet only half the size they should be. She's lost most of the feeling in her feet, but if forced to walk on her own the pain flares up again. Her feet need constant tending at least several times a week to rebandange, soak, and massage. Beyond physical handicaps, she's in perfect health.
⑤ How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?Once she's older and her feet have stopped growing Sieglinde will be capable of more steadiness, but right now she's incredibly unbalanced and has difficulty walking. She can manage standing up for a short time and very short distances on her own, but her walk is ungainly and swaying, and she trips and falls very easily.
⑥ How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?Sieglinde is a very cute child, delicate featured and doll-like. She considers herself to possess numerous charms (ego being one), though since the revelation in her canon of why her feet have been bound she's begun to see her own feet as something disgusting instead of something to take pride in.
⑦ Describe her complexion: dark, light, clear, scarred?Sieglinde spent most of her childhood indoors and well cared for thanks to her handicap, and is quite pale and clear of scars by consequence.
⑧ Describe her hair: color, texture, style.Sieglinde's hair is dark brown, nearly black, long down her back and naturally straight. Usually she wears it in a horn-shaped hennin headdress with two strips of hair in front left unbound.
⑨ What color are her eyes?Emerald green.
⑩ Does the character have any other noteworthy features?Due to being bound for years, Sieglinde's feet are constantly bandaged and only half the size a girl's her age should be.
⑪ What are her chief tension centers?Between her eyes and her neck.
⑫ What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?Sieglinde's dress in canon was consistent with 15th century German gowns, with heavy fabrics, layers of lace, and corseting in dark colors, particularly greens and blacks. When she's not being taken care of by servants she doesn't pay much attention to her own dress and is likely to just keep wearing the same things. Outside of her canon she will stick to dresses comparable to what is worn by respectable young ladies.
⑬ Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?All of her clothing is tailormade for fit and comfort.
⑭ Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences?Sieglinde dresses the same no matter the occasion, though when working she'll throw on an apron and gloves if the situation calls for it.
⑮ You knew it was coming: what kind of underwear does she wear, if any?Centuries old style, Sieglinde just wears a linen chemise.>> top
SPEECH① What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?On the lower pitched end for her age when speaking her native tongue, but higher pitched when speaking other languages.
② How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?Normally Sieglinde speaks in an even, authoritative tone that doesn't quite match up with her physical appearance.
③ Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?She speaks with a slight German accent when using non-Germanic languages.
④ What language(s) does she speak and with how much fluency?Her native tongue is an antiquated form of High German, and she is currently studying English, capable already of having intermediate level conversations. From her previous studies she has at least basic literacy in Latin, Gaelic, Greek, and other ancient tongues used in her spells.
⑤ Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?Yes. If she knows someone speaks English she will make an effort to speak to them in that language for practice, otherwise she uses her native tongue.
⑥ Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?Sieglinde usually has to give some thought into her speech if she wants it to be formal and befitting the Green Witch- otherwise she just speaks her mind a bit too bluntly.
⑦ Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?In most situations, acting with the maturity of her title, Sieglinde is articulate an formal. When highly emotional, however, she can be reduced to slightly simpler speech patterns.>> top
EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL① How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?Having been raised in an isolated village with everything provided for her, Sieglinde has almost nothing in the way of street smarts. When it comes to intelligence, however, Sieglinde is a top-tier genius. She is referred to as a natural genius, and learning and the pursuit of knowledge was drilled into her since birth, so she is constantly seeking to expand what she knows.
② Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?When it comes to things she's been trained for Sieglinde can operate smoothly and quickly even in high stress situations such as when confronted with the grievously wounded. She is capable of long-term deliberation as well, particularly when it comes to mulling over theories.
③ Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?Logical thinking is what Sieglinde has been trained to rely on, but she's driven by more emotional and intuitive feelings to use said logic to solve problems.
④ What kind of education has the character had?Sieglinde has been brought up since she was barely a toddler to be the Green Witch, educated in "magic" since before she could walk, supervised by her handmaidens and village wise woman. Her education could be described as self-driven and free, if it weren't for the fact that her entire environment was created to drive her to feel desperate to learn enough to solve the "ultimate magic".
⑤ What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?Sieglinde's genius is particularly focused in the realm of math and science (though she was taught these things as "magic", so the terms she understands them in aren't normative). Her work on the "ultimate magic" makes her specialization chemical warfare. As the Green Witch's lineage was focused on healing, she is also well trained in the medical field. She is also gifted with languages, shown to be able to have an unscripted basic conversation after only a day of study.
