Last time I checked—mm, you had a question about a certain book? And a certain someone, possibly held captive by me in a stunning display of artistry, lied about said book?

[ a pause. ]

Tome, perhaps? Grimoire?

[She answers this question so fast it's almost whiplash inducing. DID SOMEONE SAY GRIMOIRE??]

That's right- have you discovered it's whereabouts?

Oh—yes.

[ then there's another dramatic pause, as if for effect. ]

As it so happens those whereabouts would be in my hand right about now.

[she's already hanging on his every word- the dramatic pauses aren't helping]

You have it at your side? Where are you located now?

[ it's nice to have that kind of effect. ]

Oh, the local tavern, partaking in some ale, delivered to me by a very grumpy server. Not that I should be complaining about the help, I suppose ...

[ regardless, he makes a not-pleased face. ]

If you cannot make it to my residence, I will head there post haste.

[Nevermind that she can't walk well, she will get to that tavern.]

[ the inflection in his voice is curious. ]

[Then kick Sebastian out cause she doesn't want him hanging around for magic talk...]

I suppose I can find some time to drop by.

[ either he wants to impose himself or he's hungry—maybe both. ]

Will that time be in the near future?

With the promise of hot tea and desserts? Give me twenty, give or take three minutes.
